USA Megajackpots is a combination of TWO of the biggest lotteries in the United States of America, namely Megamillions and American Powerball. These names may ring a bell, as these are two lotteries being offered by ILS (International Lottery Subscriptions).
Now, you can play these games at the same time. The subscription will allow you to enter either draws once the jackpot reaches US$ 50 Million. That’s the minimum amount you can take home if you hit the jackpot!
Here's how it works
You will have a different number selection/s for both Megamillions and US Powerball. These numbers will be entered in the closest possible draw as long as the jackpot is US$ 50M. Your numbers will be entered continuously until your subscription expires. Just a friendly reminder, there could be times you will be entered for only one lottery depending on the current jackpot.
Mega Millions draws are held on Tuesdays and Fridays. A line consists of a five number combination from 1-70 and a Mega ball number from 1-25. The Mega Ball number is drawn from a separate machine, so it can be a duplicate of one of the white ball numbers.
On March 30, 2012, before leaping to a $656 Million record draw, the prize for this draw was first announced as $476 Million. Within a day it had jumped to $500 Million, then $540 Million, until the day of the draw itself confirmed a $656 MILLION jackpot! This goes to show the potential behind every Mega Millions jackpot.
US Powerball is drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Players can expect a minimum draw jackpot of $20 Million. This amount keeps rolling over (jumping by about $2 million each time the jackpot isn't won) until someone finally matches the winning numbers.
With average jackpots of $225 Million, and roughly 6,000 cash prize winners each week, American Powerball is now the premium lotto game! Besides the massive first prize winnings it also offers a cool $1 million in second prizes, and better overall odds of winning: 1 in 24.87.
